More rigorous, more relevant
Like its prerequisite, the English team has revised the English 9 curriculum this year to better ensure that students become critical thinkers while being prepared for English 10 and equipped to eventually demonstrate their knowledge on standardized tests such as the SAT.

Early in the book, the children lie to Atticus about what game they were playing. Then, in Chapter 6, Dill lies about what happens to Jem's pants. This isn't the last time you'll see the children (and actually some adults) lie in this story. Read this article about some research on lying, and respond in about a page handwritten or about 1/2 page typed double-spaced (you can include examples from your own life or from the text to support your point).
